Preamble
In all honesty, we really would rather not have an Acceptable Use Policy,
but unfortunately there are those in this world that feel the need to take
advantage of people's good will and ruin services such as suso.org at the
expense of others who use and respect it.
To keep things fair, this agreement
was developed and reviewed by the staff of suso.org and several long standing
suso.org citizens.
Also, since we hate legal speak, we have written this out in plain english
to make it actually worth reading. Enjoy!
suso.org AUP version 1.5
-- Introduction --
- suso.org is a wholely owned subsidiary of Suso Technology Services, Inc.,
a privately held corporation.
- The provider, owner and maintainer or suso.org services is Suso Technology
Services, Inc. In this document we refer to the suso.org business as suso.org,
Suso Technology Services, Inc. or we. We will refer to this document as the AUP,
meaning Acceptable Use Policy.
- This agreement is between suso.org and the customer, afterwards refered
to as you.
- If you use this service, you automatically agree to the terms of this AUP.
For all current users when this acceptable use policy has been enacted, your
continued use of suso.org after this date constitutes your acceptance of
these policies and this agreement.
- We may change this AUP from time to time and you will be responsible for
knowing the terms of newer versions. We will let you know at least 7 days
before the new version takes affect and how you can read the new version.
-- Your account and services --
- suso.org has the right to refuse or terminate service to anyone for any
reason. This includes technical limitations, financial reasons,
inability to provide such services or your stated or implied intentions for
your account.
- You must be eighteen years of age to use a suso.org account.
- You must keep your account passwords and sensitive information secure and
not let others use them. You will be required to give us information, given to
us previously, in order to regain access to your account should you forget your
password.
We will never ask you for your password.
- Make sure that your account or access to the system does not abuse the
resources of the system or network such that it severely affects other
people's usage of suso.org or other services on the Internet. It is at our
discretion what is to be considered abuse.
- You must not store or use any software to send unsolicited mail
(spam) to other accounts on the Internet or suso.org accounts.
(Note: If you spam others from your account, your account will go bye-bye
real quick and we may take further action to make it difficult for you to get an
account other places and/or press charges against you. It depends on the
situation.)
- If your account is terminated, you have the right to the data and information on it
that is considered your own, provided that we are able to retrive it for you.
- Sometimes we need to reboot the server, make upgrades, or fix equipment or
services. During this time some or all of the services of suso.org may be
unavailable. We are not responsible for lost connections, money, or time
resulting from such reboots and outages. Whenever the total downtime for the
server exceeds 24 hours, your account will be pro-rated for that month based on
your service. Whenever possible, we will notify all users of reboots, outages
and security upgrades prior to making them.
- If your account receives more web site transfers or e-mails than 30
gigabytes (GB) per month, you will be subject to a charge of $1 per 1GB per
month for every gigabyte over 30GB. If you signed up for your account under a
different bandwidth limit, you are subject to the rate at which you signed
up for initially. You can check how much bandwidth your website receives by
going to http://your-website-hostname/stats/ or by using the account control
center. The official count of your bandwidth usage is done by a custom program
that calculates the total bytes in your log after the month is over. This
office amount is shown in the account control center.
Note: Some web stats programs do not always parse web server log records
correctly or the same as our program.
- We maintain the equipment, network, IPs and suso.org domain that we
have allocated for your service, they are not yours and will not be
transfered to you if your account is terminated.

- You will receive an invoice every month if you have a positive account
balance. You are responsible for checking this invoice and making sure that
you can access the invoice and that it is accurate.

have the question or dispute about your invoice.
